General Information
Dental insurance coverage usually is aimed toward preventative care. As with most insurance, dental insurance almost always will have a deductible as well as a copayment for any restorative care (fillings), crowns, bridges, dentures ect. Dental insurance is there to help with coverage of your dental care, not constructed to cover all of your needs.
Coverage
Each year you will have a maximum dollar amount for your coverage. This amount can generally vary from $800-$1200. It is important to know that any unused amount DOES NOT rollover into the next year. Once you have used all of your insurance coverage for that year, you would then be financially responsible for any additional dental care provided.
The percentage amount that your insurance will cover for certain dental procedures such as a cleaning, filling, or crown ect. will vary. It is important to check with your insurance for your specific coverage.
